국제표준화기구(International Organization for Standardization, ISO)는 2022년 제27차 유엔기후변화협약 당사국총회(COP27)에서 넷 제로(Net Zero) 달성을 위한 지침 원칙을 발표했다.

COP27은 2022년 11월 이집트 샤름 엘 셰이크(Sharm El-Sheikh)에서 개최됐다. 원칙은 비즈니스를 포함해 조직이 넷 제로 탄소 배출을 향한 여정에 로드맵을 제공하고 있다.

넷 제로 지침은 2050년까지 넷 제로 달성을 위한 일반적인 정의, 높은 수준의 원칙, 실행가능한 지침 등을 포함한다. 또한 기업이 신뢰할 수 있는 주장을 하고 배출, 감소, 제거에 대한 일관된 보고서를 개발하도록 돕는다.
